Andrew Knowles might not have won the game show, but he did manage to garner attention

CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'Jeopardy!' contestants can win more than just money on the game show stage and that includes attention from the viewers. They are able to show their abilities and traits beyond being trivia specialists through their quirks when responding to the clues or during the interviews.

Andrew Knowles, who made his first appearance on Tuesday, July 25 'Jeopardy!' episode, might not have been able to become the champ of the night but did manage to get the attention of the audience. Fans of the game show on social media had quite a divided reaction to the special skill he was asked to display.

Knowles, a psychologist from Portland, Oregon, was prompted by host Ken Jennings to show off his strange skill. "I am told, and by that I mean it's on my card, that you have a really long tongue," Jennings said, looking quite unsure of where this was going.

"Yeah," Knowles started, "So I figured at a young age that I have a long tongue and the whole nose-to-tongue thing was easy." He then continued, "And then one day I heard that touching or licking your elbow basically is impossible. And I tried it and I was able to do it."

Jenning was surprised and went on to ask, "You can do this impossible feat?" As the contestant agreed, Jennings asked him to "prove it" on the stage. Both the audience and his fellow contestants Taylor Clagett and Julie Sisson gave him a big round of applause before he went ahead and executed the impossible.

It was unexpected to see Jennings being more than excited to see Knowles' quirk to the point that he wanted to try it himself. After Knowles' licked his elbow, Jennings announced, "I can do the nose thing!" He then proceeded to touch his nose using his tongue alongside Knowles who did the same, giving the audience quite the show.

Fans had mixed reactions to the whole interaction. While some found it funny, others, not so much. A fan commented on the Instagram post with, "You know everyone watching tried that at home." Another one said, "Could have totally done without that." One also commented, "Kind of creepy." A fourth social media user said, "Now that was funny! I hope he got the photo of him and Ken with their tongues out because that would be a fun memory!" Seemingly hinting towards the lack of content, one internet user commented, "Im supporting the writers strike." While a few fans thought it was "gross," some fans believed it was "hilarious." Either way, we all now know about Jennings' quirky talent.
