It's about to be a Hard Knocks life for the New York Jets now that they employ Aaron Rodgers.

Gang Green is one of four teams eligible to be on the popular HBO series that probably needed to end yesterday, along with the Chicago Bears, the New Orleans Saints and the Washington Commanders. I am not watching a second of this either way, but I am in the content business, so give me all the weird Rodgers nonsense possible. I can't wait to see him in his Lou Reed phase…

The Jets are gearing up to have more cameras in their building than when Rex Ryan ate snacks.

They may hate every second of being filmed, but the NFL is a business and business be boomin'!

New York Jets are about to be forced onto Hard Knocks because of Aaron Rodgers

Even if they have been mostly terrible since I could legally consume alcohol, I am kind of interested to see what becomes of the Jets when they face some semi-realistic pressure this season. No, they are not winning, or even getting to, the Super Bowl, but a playoff berth is certainly on the table. Anything short of that should result in an absolute conniption fit over the WFAN airwaves.

I want to see people living and dying with this team in a manner they never had before. JETS is typically an acronym for Just End The Season, but this time, it's different, baby! Rodgers is pushing 40 and he clearly is no Brett Favre. The hope is he will be the best thing to happen under center for the Jets since Joe Namath guaranteed some things poolside over half a century ago. That's the bar.

Overall, seeing the Jets be forced on Hard Knocks would be as hilarious as it would be entertaining. Frankly, it has to be them because the three other alternatives are even more no thank you for yours truly. Why would I want to watch the NFL glory my arch-rival's team, watch a team that is forever stuck in 1985 or a team that doesn't even know what to call itself anymore? It is so sad!

May Rodgers become the greatest premium cable TV star since Dan Fricking Campbell, man.
