Color commentator Joe Rogan of the UFC went over the brilliance behind Conor MCGregor's 13-second knockout

AUSTIN, TEXAS: In a recent 'JRE' podcast, UFC commentator Joe Rogan dwelled on the brilliance of Conor McGregor's 13-second knockout of Jose Aldo in 2015.

Most people agree that Conor McGregor's best-ever performance came from his knockout of José Aldo or his two-round master class against Eddie Alvarez. Major turning points in the Irishman's career have been reached with both wins.

His victory against Aldo is his most decisive victory as it made him the first of his two crowns in the UFC featherweight division.

It is also the quickest knockout in the history of the UFC title. Color commentator Joe Rogan of the UFC went over the genius behind his 13-second knockout again.

Joe Rogan vows over Conor McGregor's tactics

In a video that went viral on Instagram, Rogan discussed pictures of the Irishman taken in his changing room before his fight with Aldo. Because it shows Conor McGregor practicing the counter-left punch that sent Jose Aldo unconscious, the video has become part of MMA legend.

But in a lengthier video, Rogan praised McGregor for mimicking Aldo's moves before the knockout punch.

"You know what's even more genius? He worked on the exact same thing and he mimicked what he was going to do, in the green room. There's a video of him, of Conor pretending to be Aldo, then him showing what he's gonna do," Rogan said.

After his victory, Conor McGregor shot to fame and became the biggest pay-per-view attraction in MMA history. Fans are currently anticipating his return to the octagon, which is expected to happen at UFC 300 versus Michael Chandler. But nothing has been verified.

Jose Aldo, in the meantime, was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame and has since retired from professional mixed martial arts combat.

Joe Rogan modifies position on drug claims against Conor McGregor

Following Conor McGregor's admission of being drug-free, UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan has modified his position on the matter, months after he first accused the fighter of taking steroids.

This occurred following confirmation that McGregor has rejoined the USADA (US Anti-Doping Agency) testing pool.

“We can confirm that Conor McGregor has re-entered the USADA testing pool as of Sunday, October 8, 2023. We have been clear and firm with the UFC that there should be no exception given by the UFC for McGregor to fight until he has returned two negative tests and been in the pool for at least six months," the USADA statement read.

In a recent episode of the 'JRE podcast', Joe Rogan discussed the claims made by USADA, "They said they were doing it for Conor McGregor, so they could get Conor McGregor and not have to test him, which is not true because Conor McGregor entered into the USADA testing pool and supplied two tests so far."
