Jamie Foxx's co-star from 'They Cloned Tyrone', John Boyega, admitted that he had expected the actor to show up for the film's premiere

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx's most recent movie co-stars are wishing him a quick recovery. Among them is the very worried John Boyega and Teyonah Parris, who sent their best wishes to the actor and singer as he continues to recover from a "medical complication". The 55-year-old actor has been out of the public eye for the past two months. He was also not present at the premiere of 'They Cloned Tyrone' (which he stars in) on Wednesday, June 14, at the American Black Film Festival in Miami Beach, Florida. Both Parris and Boyega, who were attendees, talked about Foxx and wished him well.

Parris, 35, told Entertainment Tonight, "I wish Jamie all the recovery and healing. He's just so amazing." She addded, "It was just such an honor to work with him. He's so generous as an actor and as a human, along with John. I got lucky to be able to work with such dope men on this project, and dope men of color, that it was just so much fun." She also added that the "lively" Foxx "brings such an energy to the set. We would never work. We all just had fun laughing and partying."

'I'm just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up'

The 31-year-old Boyega said that while he expected the Oscar winner "to show up" to the premiere, "I know he's dealing with what he's dealing with, and we just wish him all the best." The 'Star Wars' actor said that the duo hasn't communicated since long. "I've been calling, I'm just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up. Come on Jamie!"

Corinne Foxx said Jamie was hospitalized after 'medical complication'

'They Cloned Tyrone' is Foxx's first project to be released since he suffered from what his daughter Corinne Foxx called a "medical complication" in an Instagram post. Corrine, 29, posted on her Instagram Story on May 12 that her father had "been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating." She, however, offered no additional details about the 'Django Unchained' star's health at the time.

At the time of his health crisis, Foxx was in Atlanta filming another Netflix feature, 'Back in Action', alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close. That film's production was temporarily suspended, but it was restarted, with body doubles filling it to cover Foxx in his absence. As he recovers, Foxx has at least one more film completed — the R-rated, dog-themed comedy 'Strays', in which he voices a Boston terrier — due for release later this summer, as reported by People.
