Kenya Moore wore a sultry pink dress with a halter top and cutouts at the waist, calling herself the "#DetroitBarbie"

ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Kenya Moore of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' was spotted leaving a taping of 'Watch What Happens Live in New York City' on July 24, 2023. While Kenya looked adorable in pink, her followers quickly took to the Internet to call her the "Black Barbie since the 90s" when she shared a sneak peek on Instagram.

Barbiecore, the hyper-feminine, pretty-in-pink style pioneered by our favorite doll Barbie has been a summer 2022 fad. Ahead of the highly anticipated film starring Margot Robbie as America's favorite doll, 2023 is shaping up to be the year of #BarbiecoreMakeup, and we're sticking with it. This trend began with the launch of Barbie in the 1950s, but it has lately gained traction owing to the outbreak of the pandemic. People are increasingly looking for dopamine-inducing, high-volume colors, such as the brilliant pink that is a feature of Mattel's most popular doll. Fashion designers and celebrities alike have been "thinking pink" over the previous year, and now, on the makeup front, beauty fans are on board with the idea as well.

'#DetroitBarbie'

Kenya channeled her inner Barbie on her most recent appearance on Andy Cohen's show. In a bright pink sequined short dress, the reality TV star showed off her curves. The celebrity wore a halter top with cutouts at the waist. The former beauty queen wore silver high heels with an exposed toe and a crisscross strap around the ankles.

Her long, black hair was pulled back into a half-ponytail, with loose curls falling down the 'Family Reunion' actress' back and across her shoulders. She wore huge bejeweled earrings as an accessory. Kenya was wearing big diamond-encrusted rings on each of her hands. Days later, Kenya took to Instagram on July 26, to share her looks while captioning herself as the "#detroitbarbie."

'Kenya has been Black Barbie since the 90s for real'

Fans quickly took to the comments section to priase the diva. One fan wrote, "Kenya has been black Barbie since the 90s forreal. 🔥🔥🔥🔥." Another chimed in, "She has been the BLACK BARBIE since winning Miss USA in 1993." One said, "THE ORIGINAL BLACK BARBIE 🩷." Another wrote, "You’ve always been the Black Barbie you should’ve been in the movie🤷🏾‍♂️."

A fan further commented under the post, "You’re a literal real life Black Barbie!!! A true Beauty! Sheesh!😍😍😍🎀🎀🎀." Another agreed, "The original black Barbie ❤️🎁. Nobody can’t deny how beautiful you are. You’re ageless 🔥🔥." Sad to see Kenya not making a cameo in the new 'Barbie' movie, one fan wrote, "You should have played Barbie in the movie!!! You are absolutely the most beautiful, fabulous woman alive. Beyond perfection! 💖💖💖." Another user noted, "Life size Barbie!! Always has been! 😍❤️."
