Kim Kardashian told Angie Martinez on her 'IRL' podcast that North can only access TikTok through her mother's phone

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In an interview with Time for its Influential Companies of 2023 issue, Kim Kardashian acknowledged a rather unexpected fact. Apparently, there was one instance where her former husband Kanye West may have been right - in his opinions about their 10-year-old daughter North West being on TikTok.

Kardashian shared her thoughts on North's collaboration with 23-year-old rapper Ice Spice in a series of TikTok videos. Some of the videos involved North dressing up as Ice Spice and lip-syncing to the rapper's lyrics.

'Kanye was right’

Upon seeing the lyrics to one of the videos, specifically the song 'In Ha Mood' by Ice Spice, Kardashian decided to take it down. She mentioned that she saw comments online suggesting that Kanye was right in that particular instance.

"As soon as I saw the words, I was like, "Oh no, we're taking this down,'" Kardashian told Time. "I saw on the internet, [people saying] 'Kanye was right,' and maybe he was in that instance." Kanye had previously expressed concerns about his daughters' presence on TikTok as North shares an account with Kardashian.

‘I will fight for her to be creative’

In a now-deleted Instagram post from February 2022, Kanye shared a screenshot of one of their TikTok videos and questioned what he should do about North being on TikTok against his wishes. In response, Kardashian posted a statement on her Instagram story, expressing that Kanye's constant attacks were more hurtful than any TikTok North might create.

During an episode of Angie Martinez's 'IRL' podcast, Kardashian mentioned that while her daughter has a presence on TikTok, she can only access the app through her mother's phone. She emphasized that she supports North's creativity, such as making slime videos and sharing hair tutorials. "She loves making slime videos and doing her little hair tutorials, and I will fight for her to be creative," she told Time.
