LORIS, SOUTH CAROLINA: The wife of Tyler Doyle, 22, who disappeared four months ago has given birth to their first child. The South Carolina boater was last seen on January 26, 2023, while he went duck hunting on a boat that fell overboard in rough water near the coast of North Myrtle Beach.
At the time of his missing, his wife, Lakelyn Doyle, was pregnant and in April 2023, she gave birth to their daughter. The duo planned to name their baby Paisley Grace as per the hints from their social media posts before the disappearance of the Loris native, reported The Sun News.

Lakelyn wanted to stop receiving GoFundMe donations amid rumors
Following her husband's missing, a GoFundMe page was set up by a family friend named Hannah Faulk to help pregnant Lakelyn not "worry about an income for a little while." However, Lakelyn later asked the friend to shut down the page "due to the rumors and everything going around."
"She [would] rather go without, than deal with drama and rumors while she’s actively searching for her missing husband … as a [woman who is] 30 weeks pregnant she can’t handle everyone’s opinion and stress on her body for the baby’s sake," Faulk wrote in February 2023. It remains unclear exactly what rumors led Lakelyn to request for stopping the fundraiser.
Tyler's brother slammed rumors after his missing
The missing man's brother, Reed Doyle, also responded in a post on Facebook following the gossip. He slammed "everyone who’s out there spreading rumors about my brother." On January 31, Tyler's wallet, waders, and duck decoys were discovered about two miles offshore. However, there has been no sign of him since the items were found, according to The Sun News. Talking to the outlet, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources said, "Our officers, when on routine patrol, continue to look for Tyler Doyle," and added, "Tactics have not changed." Authorities do not suspect foul play in the case.
In April 2023, Tyler's family announced that he has been added to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NAMUS). Tyler was wearing a white t-shirt, khaki pants, and a camouflage float coat at the time of his disappearance. The 22-year-old has brown hair and blue eyes, weighs 200 pounds, and is between 5’9” and 5’10” tall, reported New York Post.
