Last week, the 2022-23 NBA season officially reached its end with the Denver Nuggets winning the Larry O'Brien Trophy. This Thursday night, June 22, the 2023 NBA Draft takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The top prospect in this year's class is Victor Wembanyama, a 7-foot-4 phenom from France, who will undoubtedly go off the board with the first overall pick to the San Antonio Spurs, who won the NBA Draft Lottery.

Just two days before he becomes a Spur, Wembanyama was in the Bronx, throwing out the first pitch for the New York Yankees' home game against the Seattle Mariners. During pre-game festivities, Wembanyama chatted with members of the Yankees, such as catcher Jose Trevino and general manager Brian Cashman.

In case you were wondering, here is what a baseball looks like in Wembanyama's massive hands. The baseball literally looks like a marble!

Look: Here's what a baseball looks like in NBA Draft prospect Victor Wembanyama's hand

For those wondering how Wembanyama's first pitch went, it was…not great. The video comes courtesy of The Athletic's Chris Kirschner.

Can Wembanyama hit? Only asking because the Yankees desperately need some potent bats in their lineup in their horrendous slump with superstar outfielder Aaron Judge sidelined due to injury. If he can, talk about an enticing designated hitter for the Yankees. Of course, we kid.

There were also other pictures from Wembanyama's trip to Yankee Stadium. There was a photo of him taking the subway in New York City to the stadium and one of himself standing next to Trevino, who is 5-foot-10.

Wembanyama is enjoying his time in New York before he officially becomes a part of the NBA. He has long been seen as the top prospect in this year's class, and he has lived up to the hype thus far throughout his journey. On Thursday night, he will be donning a Spurs hat and jersey, with the team hoping he can be the face of the franchise like fellow No. 1 picks David Robinson and Tim Duncan was for them all those years ago.
