'I convince myself that I’m happy'

The popular star opened about her mental health when she joined Dr Mike on one of the episodes of 'Going There'. Gray discussed the ways she acknowledges all the parts of her mental health journey. She explained the methods she uses in particular to try to make sense of her life's experiences, particularly when it comes to her battle with depression. “I feel like sometimes I sort of force myself into a state of false happiness, where I’m trying to convince myself that I’m happy when I’m really not,” she said on the podcast. “Sometimes I sort of fake it til I make it, I force myself into these very social, outgoing environments and convince myself that I’m happy and that everything is great.”

This is not the first time; Gray has also opened about her struggles previously. In 2020, she opened up about the sexual assault incident that took place when she was 12-years-old. In a TikTok video she shared, "I struggled to put the pieces together as to why this had happened to me. It took two months for me to finally tell my parents. I felt dirty, hopeless, broken and worthless. I was confused and scared. I felt like it was my fault."
