Several 'Love Island Games' fans refused to subscribe to Imani Ayan's YouTube channel after her story, slamming her for 'baiting'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Love Island Games' Season 1 star Imani Ayan Wheeler recently asked her followers for 1K subscribers for them to watch an exclusive interview of her about the Peacock show. However, social media users slammed the reality star over her "terrible move."

Imani took to her Instagram stories and shared a Boomerang video with the caption, "For my babes who want to watch my exclusive interview about Love Island, follow my YT channel, link in bio." She added, "Ya girl needs 1,000 subs by Monday, Idk I feel like we can do that."

As one person created a thread on Reddit asking people to subscribe in order to "get the tea," multiple Reddit users called out Imani in the comments and noted that they would not subscribe to her YouTube channel. A social media user wrote, "I don’t like being baited …. I’ll get the Reddit rundown later if anything significant is even said."

Another person noted, "I’m with you on this. Guarantee way for me to never subscribe. If I come across it on reddit, then I’ll check it out."

The same person further added, "This is also such a terrible move by influencers imo, because the drop in subscribers after the video comes out and they watch it…whew. It only works if there’s actually consistent content that people would care about."

Another Reddit user said, "Ya this is no it sis! Not a fan of bating for drama, but people are going to do what they want! But this does make me think something happens on tonight’s episode."

The person later added, "Edit: we going to see everything on tonight’s show! But once again I don’t think everyone needs to be friends with everyone!"

Another fourth person wrote, "Yeah no. I don’t like when influencers do this… I mean I get it, just don’t like it. I’m sure she’ll get that 1k though (at least)." Another person agreed, writing, "Same. I’ll just get the updates from here. I’m not that interested."

Is Imani Ayan Wheeler still on good terms with Lisa Celander?

Imani Ayan and Lisa Celander appeared to have settled things out after their dramatic on and off-screen feud. Notably, both Imani and Lisa follow each other on social media.

Before being eliminated from 'Love Island Games', Lisa called Imani "two-faced", which was not received well by Imani. Attempting to talk things out with one another later that evening, the conversation between Lisa and Imani turned into a heated argument.

Additionally, Lisa and Imani declared that they would not be friends for the remainder of their respective Peacock show journeys.

Imani Ayan Wheeler snubs four 'Love Island UK' stars on Instagram

'Love Island Games' Season 1 is in its finale week and Imani Ayan Wheeler seemingly has plenty of ongoing drama. Imani appeared to be selective when it came to the cast members she follows on social media.

Imani notably follows multiple of her cast members including Lisa Celander. However, she snubbed Justine Ndiba, Cely Vazquez, Curtis Pritchard, and Jack Fowler as they weren't on her Instagram followers list, leading some fans to claim there had been a secret feud that hadn't been aired.

A Reddit user started a thread and claimed, "So, I know this is digging into people personal lives and assuming things just to assume but, Imani follows pretty much everyone but Justine, Cely, Curtis, and Jack. She even follows LISA!"

The thread continued, "Which was surprising to me given how things were left off between the two of them. Does something happen in the villa to where Imani just completely writes them off? Or maybe after filming? I just find it odd that she doesn't follow those folks."

'Love Island Games' Season 1 releases new episodes 6 days a week at 9 pm ET on Peacock.
