Seattle saw one of the state's greatest sports stars, Marshawn Lynch, make an appearance at the MLB Home Run Derby. Iconic is as iconic does.

Seattle Seahawks legend Marshawn Lynch came, saw, and conquered at the MLB 2023 Home Run Derby on Monday. This year's All-Star week was being hosted by Seattle at T-Mobile Park, and the former Seahawks running back couldn't resist having some fun at the glorified sports event.

Lynch proudly sauntered onto the field with the Home Run Derby trophy in hand prior to the competition, lifting the brass for all of Seattle to see as if to say: Look. Look at the Lombardi Trophy I could have won if they had just given me the d— ball.

But alas, the main sport of the day was baseball, not football, and Mets' Pete Alonso, Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Mariners' Julio Rodriguez were among the participants of the annual Home Run Derby. Let the games begin.

Amid the cheerful festivities of the derby, Lynch seemed less interested in watching the MLB's most powerful sluggers go to work and more interested in… stealing swag.

Not long after the derby began, a video circulated of Lynch acting sketchy on the field. Lynch weaved between reporters and cameramen with his pockets stuffed with baseballs, walking cautiously as if he expected security guards to pop out of nowhere and arrest him for stealing said balls.

On his way out, Lynch was nice enough to stop and sign some memorabilia for kids — or was it all just part of the act?

Who knows. Some Twitter users thought Lynch was America's most relatable sports star, others thought he was just a plain weirdo. Take a look and decide for yourself:

Oh yeah, and he also snatched up a pillow presumably given to members of the All-Star team and hid it under his shirt. The baseballs, the pillow, some other random merch: Lynch appeared to be pulling off some kind of secret robbery, and he had a hell of a time doing it. From Beast Mode to Heist Mode, Lynch sure knew how to make a name for himself.

The five-time Pro-Bowler has made headlines in the past as any rambunctious, high-energy football player would. His most famous meme may be the one during the Seahawks' Super Bowl media session in 2015 when he notoriously commented, "I'm here so I won't get fined."

Seems like Lynch has money on his mind lately, too, based on the way he was smuggling items out of T-Mobile Park. Hope he gets a good night's sleep on that pillow.
