Mayim Bialik was ecstatic over Ryan Seacrest taking over Pat Sajak's hosting duties on 'Wheel of Fortune' in 2024 and said that she was going to 'offer to clean his dressing room'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Jeopardy!’ host Mayim Bialik welcomed Ryan Seacrest as the new host of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ in a rather odd manner. Bialik openly commented that she wanted to "creep on" Seacrest when he steps in for Pat Sajak in 2024.

Seacrest was chosen as the new host after many names were eliminated from consideration, and the 48-year-old star aims to impress with his hosting skills starting next year. However, many fans had previously speculated about Seacrest's appointment until ABC executives made it a reality and brought him in to fill the big shoes of former host Pat Sajak.

What did Mayim Bialik really say?

When Bialik learned of Seacrest's appointment, she was ecstatic, but her excitement led to an unusual remark that she shared on her Instagram Story. Bialik attached a screenshot of an AP News headline revealing Ryan's new role and later captioned the photo, “OMG I am so going to creep on Seacrest across from the Jeopardy! stage and offer to clean his dressing room - is that weird???”

Both game shows share the same studio at Sony Pictures Studios, so they'll be in each other's orbit, which Bialik certainly seemed elated about. Bialik's statement reveals that she has always held a great liking for Seacrest, who will be her neighbor on duty starting next year in 2024.

Ryan announced his appointment on Instagram

Ryan took to Instagram to announce his appointment as the new host of ‘Wheel of Fortune’. He expressed gratitude towards the show’s executives and also revealed insights into his hosting abilities. He wrote over a photo of the game show's centerpiece wheel, “I'm truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak. I can say, along with the rest of America, that it's been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years.”

He continued, “Pat, I love the way you've always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition. Many people probably don't know this but one of my first jobs was hosting a little game show called 'Click' for Merv Griffin 25 years ago so this is truly a full circle moment for me and I'm grateful for Sony for the opportunity.” Ryan also confirmed that Vanna White would join him as co-host.
