“The complexities of climate change demand a diverse, collaborative approach to tackle the multi-faceted nature of the Texas climate crisis,” Meadows Center Executive Director Robert Mace said. “Through this conference, we hope to challenge misconceptions, deepen understanding and inspire attendees to act towards a climate-resilient future.”

The conference opens with keynote speaker Michael E. Mann, a renowned climate scientist, author, and Presidential Distinguished Professor of Earth and Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Mann will offer attendees lessons from Earth’s past that could pave the way for navigating our climate crisis. Sessions following the keynote address will offer viewpoints from a diverse mix of industry leaders on environmental interventions, policy formation, and ways to foster further interdisciplinary collaborations.

The conference will be held at the LBJ Grand Ballroom at Texas State University. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Registration closes Sept. 3.

Registration prices are as follows:

  • Early Bird Professional Registration (closes Aug. 17): $110
  • Professional Registration (open Aug. 17-Sept. 3): $150
  • Student Registration (closes Sept. 3): $60
