Two Western Conference teams face off on Wednesday night with the Dallas Wings hosting the Phoenix Mercury.

After a strong start, Dallas has dropped back-to-back games to fall to .500 on the season, but it is still ahead of the 1-3 Mercury in the standings.

Phoenix has not played great, only beating the 1-6 Minnesota Lynx, but the team is starting to find an offensive groove, scoring 90 and 93 points in its last two games.

Dallas has seen Arike Ogunbowale slump in the last two losses, lowering her field goal percentage to just 34.4 percent on the season. Does that change against a Phoenix team that is 10th in the league in defensive rating?

Here's how to bet on this matchup and the latest odds:

Mercury vs. Wings odds, spread and total

Mercury vs. Wings prediction and pick

The Wings are 2-0 at home this season, but they may have benefitted from an easy schedule to start the season with two of their three wins coming against the Seattle Storm (0-4) and Lynx (1-6).

Phoenix got off to a slow start offensively, but with the team turning things around, I don't mind the Mercury to cover here on the road.

Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner are still an elite duo, and I can't trust the Wings' offense as Ogunbowale struggles with efficiency. The Wings star has seen her points per game average drop into the low 20s after sitting at over 28.0 per game through three games.

The Mercury are going to have to be better on defense against Dallas (No. 3 in offensive rating), but it's worth noting that the Wings are just seventh in the league in effective field goal percentage.

Their shooting hasn't been great, so I'll roll with the Mercury in this road spot.
