What character did Gal Gadot play in 'Fast & Furious'?

Gadot's post received over a million likes in less than eight hours, with many users expressing how nostalgic they felt in the comments section. Brewster commented on Gal's post, "YES!!!! Welcome back!" The mother-of-three first played Gisele Yashar in 'Fast & Furious' in 2009 and reprised her role in 2011's 'Fast Five' before being killed off in the sixth movie in 2013. Gadot's character became a member of the Fast family after Dominic Toretta infiltrated the violent Braga Cartel in Mexico while investigating Letty's killing, according to the Daily Mail.

Initially, Gisele appeared to be a loyal member of the drug cartel but soon it was determined that she was on the side of the good guys and a former Mossad agent. However, Gadot's character is not the only character to return from the dead. The franchise brought back Michelle Rodriguez's character Letty, while in 'F9', Gadot's on-screen love interest Han Lu returned as well.

‘The returns meant something else’

Gadot's first major American movie was 'Fast & Furious', with director Justin Lin casting her because of her military expertise. However, Gisele's return has assured fans that there will be another movie in the long-running franchise, which Diesel confirmed. Speaking about Gadot’s return, ‘Fast X’ director Louis Leterrier told Entertainment Weekly, "We showed the movie to Gal, told her about our plan for the next one, and she loved the movie and said, 'I want to be part of it. I want to come back.'''

Leterrier also assured fans that the story behind Gisele's return will be "very, very different." "We needed to seed it into the fabric of the franchise. You'll see. As we're heading towards the end, you'll see how every chapter meant something as a whole, every villain meant something, every disappearance meant something, the returns meant something else, and how it all was part of this huge chess game played by various people," he said.
