The Texas Rangers are a run-scoring machine heading into the first full week of June. Let's take a look at the MLB standings by run differential.

The 2023 MLB season is now in June. There are still plenty of games left to go, but there is still a decent enough amount of games completed to make some firm statements regarding how teams are doing and how far they will go.

One team that has been one of the biggest surprises is the Texas Rangers. This past offseason, they prioritized bolstering their starting rotation, as evidenced by signing Jacob deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi. However, it has been the bats that have been the story thus far in 2023, as they have put up an unreal amount of runs just 58 games into the season.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, the Rangers have had 16 games in which they've scored 10 or more runs. This is tied for the most through the first 60 games of the season, where they join the 1936 New York Yankees and 1999 Seattle Mariners.

Now the Rangers are set to take on the St. Louis Cardinals, who have the worst winning percentage in the entire National League, sitting at 25-35 on the year. MLB.com's John Denton pointed out how far apart the two teams are, citing the Rangers having a run differential of +152, while the Cardinals scored just 14 runs in their previous six games.

For those wondering what the standings would look like if they were based on run differential, we have you covered. Spoiler alert: the Rangers are at the top.
