League of Legends MSI 2022, the second biggest competitive event behind Worlds, has been ongoing since May 10. The Group Stage, which took place from May 10 to May 15, has concluded and has now moved on to the Rumble Stage, which will take place from May 20 to May 24.
As described by the League of Legends Esports staff on the Riot Games website, the format is like this: in the Group Stage, teams were drawn into two groups of four and one group of three to play a best-of-one double round-robin with the respective group they were assigned. The group of three plays quadruple round-robin.
Now, in the Rumble Stage, the top two teams from each of the three groups have advanced, making six teams in total. The teams will play a best-of-one double-round robin. If you want a full explanation of the MSI 2022 Format, check out this video.
