LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Usher teamed up with reality star Kim Kardashian to announce his Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show appearance.

However, 'The Kardashians' star was trolled over her appearance in the announcement video.

In the announcement video, Usher appeared to sit in the music studio and work on his song while the tune of his 'Confessions Part II' played in the background.

However, Kim told the Grammy winner via phone that he would headline the Apple Music Halftime Show at Super Bowl 58 on February 11, 2024, in Las Vegas.

Usher appeared to be in disbelief about Kim's shocking news and hung up on her.

Apple Music also dropped promotional videos featuring Deion Sanders, Odell Beckham J and Marshawn Lynch delivering the exciting halftime show news to Usher via a surprise phone call.

However, the social media users appeared to be quite upset with Kim's appearance in the promotional video. An Instagram user commented, "Why is Kim even in this video?"

Another user said, "Of course Kim has to be involved ... when are there era going to end....all they have done was culture appropriate and get surgery."

"Please no kim appearances," added another viewer.

Another person wrote, "Imagine having this dumb face in an Ad to announce, Usher performing at the Super Bowl! Hope she gets booed I just can’t!."

Another critic questioned, "Why was Kim apart of this? Like of all ppl to announce like."

Another furious social media user stated, "What does she have to do with your show. She doesn’t have a talent. Especially a not musical or physical talent. Why why why??? Where are you?"

Another internet user penned, "Y'all couldn't find no one else." Another fan complained, "Nobody wanted this."

Usher to perform at Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show

Usher's latest appearance at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show will mark his second performance.

He previously performed alongside the Black Eyed Peas when the group headlined the halftime show back in 2011.

Usher dropped in to sing 'OMG' with Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo during his 2011 Super Bowl. His performance also featured an appearance by Slash.

However, the R&B singer is excited about his Super Bowl appearance and shared in the statement, "It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before."

Kim Kardashian broke the internet with T-Mobile Super Bowl Commercial in 2015

Kim Kardashian starred in the T-Mobile 2015 Super Bowl Commercial.

In the video, the reality star said, "Each month millions of gigs of unused data are taken back by wireless companies. Tragic."

She added, "Data you paid for that could be used to see my makeup, my backhand, my outfits, my vacations and my outfits. Sadly all lost. Please, help save the data."

Kim was then shown taking selfies at different places.

Notably, the T-Mobile Super Bowl Commercial starring Kim hit the internet and was praised by many viewers.

Who will perform with Usher at Super Bowl LVIII halftime show?

Usher is the only performer who officially announced to headline the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show.

NFL is yet to officially announce if he will be joined by additional performers.

However, Usher teased with Apple Music 1 what fans can expect from his performance and seemed to hint at a possible collaboration.

He shared, "Well, one thing I can say is I’ve collaborated with a lot of incredible artists throughout the years."

Usher added, "If anything, I like (to) socially engage the world, you know what I’m saying? I like to hear who you think would be a great guest, great guest to complement this."

The halftime show is known for a storied history of special guests, from Bruno Mars and Beyonce joining Coldplay in 2016 to 50 Cent and Anderson Paak performing with hip-hop legends Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem in 2022.

Apple Music's Super Bowl LVIII Halftime show will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11.
