Every Premier League fixture between Arsenal and Tottenham in the north London derby for the 2023/24 season.

The north London derby has been an unbroken staple of every top-flight fixture list since 1978.

While many embittered rivalries routinely produce cagey affairs with each side more afraid of losing than encouraged to win, Arsenal and Tottenham have been responsible for some of the most memorable matches in the Premier League era. Rarely is the capital clash a dull affair - there has been just one goalless north London derby in the 21st century.

Here is everything you need to know about the latest chapter in this enthralling rivalry for the upcoming 2023/24 Premier League season.

Premier League dates for Arsenal v Tottenham in 2023/24

*times and dates are subject to change

For the 11th time in the last 12 seasons, Arsenal will host the first north London derby of the new Premier League campaign. The Gunners welcome Spurs to the Emirates on the sixth weekend of the season, Saturday 23 September 2023.

After steering Celtic through 11 Old Firm derbies in just two years, Ange Postecoglou is no stranger to a febrile footballing atmosphere - though this will be the first experience of north London's fiercest rivalry for Tottenham's new manager. Mikel Arteta, Postecoglou's counterpart on the red slice of the capital, is a veteran of 16 derbies as a player and coach.

Spurs host Arsenal in the reverse fixture in the final few weeks of the season. The Gunners are scheduled to arrive at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium on Saturday 27 April 2024, with just three matches of the campaign left to play thereafter.

Arsenal v Tottenham H2H record

Ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, the north London derby had strictly followed home advantage for more than half a decade. However, Arsenal broke that streak with a convincing 2-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January to earn the club's first Premier League derby victory away from home since 2014.

Spurs had their winless run at the Emirates Stadium extended to 13 matches with a 3-1 reverse in October. Younes Kaboul scored Tottenham's last winning goal away to Arsenal when Harry Redknapp's side staged an improbable comeback from 2-0 down at half-time to prevail in 2010.

Since their first league campaign together in 1908/09, Arsenal have finished above Tottenham in the pyramid 68 times. However, Spurs had recorded a higher league position than the Gunners in six consecutive years between 2017 and 2022 before a return to the historical precedent last season - Arteta led Arsenal to second, six places and 24 points above Spurs.

Arsenal have won four of the last five north London derbies but the Gunners have never recorded three consecutive Premier League victories against Tottenham.
