The San Diego Padres were projected to be World Series contenders this season, but here we are in the middle of June and they're four games below .500 and 8.0 games back from the NL West.

If they want to find some momentum they'll want to do it sooner rather than later.

This weekend's series against the Colorado Rockies could be a good time to do it. They'll roll with Ryan Weathers on Saturday while the Rockies will go with Kyle Freeland.

Let's check out the odds for this battle of lefties.

Padres vs. Rockies odds, run line, and total

Padres vs. Rockies prediction and pick

The Colorado Rockies have the advantage of playing at Coors Field which should be boosting their offense numbers, but even playing at altitude hasn't helped them against left-handed pitchers.

The Rockies are 29th in the Majors in OPS against lefties at .659 while batting just .234 against them.

Now, they have to take on a lefty in Ryan Weathers, who admittedly doesn't have a great ERA at 5.09, but he's in a great spot to boost his ERA on Saturday.

The Rockies will be rolling with a lefty of their own in Kyle Freeland, but the Padres have been much more effective against left-handed pitchers, boasting an OPS of .748.

It's also worth noting the Padres have one of the best bullpens in the Majors, so even if Weathers doesn't survive his outing, their bullpen can takeover. They rank third in bullpen ERA at 3.26, while the Rockies are 25th at 4.62.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
