WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO: Paige Spiranac, the former golfer who has transitioned into an influencer, is renowned for her sports analysis and golf predictions.

While she gained acclaim for her accurate Ryder Cup predictions, where she correctly anticipated the Captain's Picks, fans have noticed her conspicuous silence when it comes to the Solheim Cup in 2023.

The reason behind her absence from discussing the Solheim Cup remains a topic of curiosity among her followers.

What did Paige Spiranac say?

According to Essentially Sports, Paige Spiranac did reference Natalie Gulbis in response to a question during one of her podcast episodes. It's worth noting that when Spiranac first began her golf journey, she credited Gulbis as a significant source of inspiration.

Generally, Spiranac tends to steer clear of discussing LPGA events, and this pattern extends beyond just the Solheim Cup. However, the unique mention of Natalie Gulbis this time has piqued interest and suggests a departure from her usual approach.

During her discussion, Paige Spiranac openly shared her preference for avoiding loose clothing on the golf course, attributing her confidence to Natalie Gulbis, who inspired her to dress comfortably.

Given this personal connection and the fact that Gulbis is serving as one of the vice-captains for the Solheim Cup this season, fans were indeed hopeful that Spiranac would offer her insights or commentary on the event.

This connection between Spiranac and Gulbis added an extra layer of anticipation for her perspective on the Solheim Cup.

It's apparent that Paige Spiranac may still be carrying emotional scars from her unsuccessful attempts to make it to the LPGA Tour.

In her previous discussions, she has candidly addressed the reasons behind her exclusion from the Tour, with many of these reasons being related to her challenges in performing at the required level.

These experiences and disappointments may continue to impact her perspective on LPGA events like the Solheim Cup.

The influencer even revealed that, at times, she would indulge in daydreams about successfully completing an entire golf course.

When Paige Spiranac opened up about her trauma

According to Fox News, Paige Spiranac's self-esteem struggles were exacerbated by the intense pressures of being a young gymnast prodigy.

She shared that she had visited the prestigious USA Gymnastics training center located at the Karolyi Ranch in Texas, a facility where the disgraced Olympic physician Larry Nassar had worked before his conviction for assaulting athletes.

Instead of forging close friendships during her gymnastics journey, Spiranac found herself increasingly isolated due to bullying and the demanding training schedule that required her to spend seven hours a day, six days a week in the gym.

She faced challenges with "mean girl" issues, where fellow gymnasts engaged in hurtful behavior like spitting in her drink, disposing of birthday cakes meant for her, and deliberately excluding her from various activities.

Spiranac said, “The gymnastics community is toxic. You just do what they say no matter what. It’s really scary,” adding, “I never felt like I fit in. I didn’t have a group of friends.”
