'Strike Force Five' is hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, John Oliver and Stephen Colbert

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Piers Morgan, while guest hosting on 'The Five', slammed late-night hosts for starting a podcast. The podcast, called 'Strike Force Five', will feature five major TV hosts.

Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, John Oliver, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon reigned supreme on late night TV until their talk shows were halted due to the WGA strike.

Morgan slammed the podcast for not being a good idea and clearly lacking any writers behind the content.

The other 'The Five' hosts also disapproved of the podcast, which has been mocked for being made for the liberal population.

Late night hosts start podcast amid WGA strike

Popular late night talk shows have had to halt after the WGA announced they were striking.

Meyers, Kimmel, Oliver, Fallon and Colbert decided to join hands and create an unscripted podcast.

According to Fallon, the hosts will get together on a virtual call to record their random conversations for around an hour.

The podcast was also meant to support the staffers who have been affected by the strikes with no option of working at all.

Any and all proceeds from the podcast will go to them during these uncertain times for Hollywood.

Piers Morgan criticizes podcast for being 'White'

Brian Kilmeade asked Morgan, who has been filling in for Democrat representative Jessica Tarlov on 'The Five', about his thoughts on 'Strike Force Five'.

Morgan said, "You know the happiest people in America right now? Writers in Hollywood. [They] listen to the podcast and go, 'You see? That's how much you need us.'"

Morgan continued, "I have never seen them all together. They have spent years banging on incisively about the need for inclusion and diversity in society."

He added, "And then you see the five of them together. What do you see? You see five middle-aged, white, straight dudes. Where is the diversity and inclusion guys?"

The British newscaster continued by saying, "You love to preach about it but when it comes to your own job security, you have to all be exactly the same."
