The new Festival of Colors event in Pokémon GO is offering 20,000 XP and a Lure Module to players catch specific Pokémon that will be featured during the event.

The Festival of Colors event for Pokémon GO began yesterday to celebrate the real-life holiday of Holi, giving players access to two new Pokémon within the app and other special event-related Pokémon.

The yearly event returns, this time with the debut of Bruxish, the Alolan colorful fish Pokémon, and the Mega form of Medicham being readily available to players dedicated to finding these Pokémon. Otherwise, players can look forward to potentially getting a huge reward for completing the Collection Challenge by catching a lot of Pokémon appearing more frequently during the event.

Pokémon GO Festival of Colors Collection Challenge

The Festival of Colors event started yesterday, March 8 at 10 a.m., and will continue until March 14, at 8 p.m.. Meaning, players will only have until next Tuesday to catch the Pokémon listed below.

The Festival of Colors Collection Challenge rewards trainers with 20,000 XP and a Lure Module upon completion. The Pokémon required to complete the Challenge Collection part of the Festival of Colors event are:

  • Koffing
  • Stunky
  • Wobbuffet
  • Natu
  • Shuckle
  • Paras
  • Krabby
  • Bruxish
  • Sand Burmy
  • Trash Burmy
  • Plant Burmy
  • Mothim (cannot be found in the wild, must be acquired through evolving any of the Burmy variations)

Pokémon that can be found in varying levels of raids are Rockruff, Bruxish, Alolan and Kantonian Exeggutor, Ho-Oh and most importantly, Mega Medicham.
