HOUSTON, TEXAS: Houston Police shot and killed a suspect at a graduation party when he threatened his neighbors with a knife. As per authorities, the incident took place on Saturday night, May 13, when a man who probably lived in the neighborhood, was reportedly complaining the music was too loud and threatened them. Investigators told the press that the series of events started at a home in the 100th block of Palmyra Street.

"(The man) confronted them, yelling and hollering that the music is too loud," said executive assistant Chief Ban Tien. "The male threatened that if they didn't turn down the music, he would be back." Police said they received a call around 11.18 pm, and after arrival at the scene, the suspect came again this time with a knife. Tien told that he cornered an officer up against a vehicle with a knife in hand and didn’t give up his knife after repeatedly asking him to do so. "The officer backed up, continued to try to create distance, up until the point where the officer backed up into a vehicle, where he had nowhere to go, and he subsequently discharged his firearm," the executive chief added.
