A pricey motherboard celebrating the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion has an unfortunate typo.

The problem affects the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO EVA-02 EDITION, a motherboard that was released in September for $699, but has since sold out at most retailers. The motherboard is exquisite, containing numerous custom designs themed after one of the anime’s most popular characters, Asuka Langley Soryu, and her mech.

There’s just one problem: Asus accidentally misspelled the anime’s name as “Evangenlion” next to the I/O cover screen on the motherboard, which was noticed by Tom’s Hardware. This can be seen on YouTube unboxings of the motherboard and the official product listings online, although the typo is easy to miss.

On Tuesday, Asus apologized for the mistake, after hearing feedback about the misspelling. The good news is that problem is merely cosmetic, and can be fixed with a new replacement part.

“As part of our commitment to resolving this issue, we will extend the warranty by one additional year and implement a replacement program,” the company said. “Asus will provide a corrected decorative part that end-users can use to replace the misprinted part. If you encounter this issue, please contact your local customer service for more details.”

The company has since corrected Asus’s official product page for the motherboard with an image showing the right spelling for Evangelion. However, there’s no word on when Asus will provide the replacement part. In the meantime, the Evangelion-themed motherboard is already reselling on eBay for between $1,300 to $2,499 due to the shortage in supplies.
