Real Madrid have been handed an injury boost ahead of next Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Real Madrid have been dealt some good news ahead of next week's decisive Champions League semi-final second leg at Manchester City.

Los Blancos and the Cityzens played out a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday. Vinicius Junior opened the scoring with a superb strike from range before Kevin De Bruyne equalised with a similar effort after the break - Real Madrid were angered that this was allowed to stand as the ball had exited the pitch during the previous phase of play.

The tie is finely poised heading back to the Etihad Stadium, and Real Madrid have been handed a major boost for the second leg.

Spanish outlet Cadena SER report midfielder Dani Ceballos has recovered from a minor injury and could play some part in Manchester.

Though once a peripheral figure in Madrid, Ceballos has put in a series of excellent displays this season and has become somewhat of a fan favourite, even if he's not a first-choice midfielder - supporters have loudly chanted his name at home games in recent months.

It had been suggested Ceballos would have started the first leg had Luka Modric not been fit, only for the Croatian to return to the fold and the Spaniard to miss out instead.

Real Madrid first take on neighbours Getafe in La Liga on Saturday prior to their trip to Man City.

Ceballos' contract is up in the summer but could extend his stay at Real Madrid even if Jude Bellingham joins from Real Madrid and current midfielders Modric and Toni Kroos sign new contracts.

90min understands Bellingham is edging closer to joining the reigning champions of Europe, while Kroos has agreed terms over a fresh deal.
