CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO: Shanquella Robinson's bereaved family members are "deeply disappointed" after learning that the FBI will not provide them access to the autopsy findings following her terrible death in Cabo last year. Robinson died while traveling to Mexico in October 2022, and following her death, the FBI said that an inquiry into her death would not lead to federal charges. This was a stunning turn in the case, which is being followed by many.
One of Robinson's pals was the subject of a Mexican arrest warrant, but the suspect has never been identified, and no one has been taken into custody. Sallamondra, Robinson's mother, suspects foul play; though alcohol intoxication was first thought to be the cause of her daughter's death, Mexican officials later said an autopsy indicated she had suffered a fractured neck and other injuries.

One of her pals on the vacation was allegedly shown in a viral video assaulting Robinson in their villa, which fueled her family's fears and prompted them to ask the United States for diplomatic action.
'Unexpected financial burden'
As per reports, Robinson's family had raised hundreds of thousands to assist them in meeting the "unexpected financial burden" while grieving the tragic death of their loved one. After hearing the most recent developments in her case, they have lost faith that they would soon receive some clarification, as reported by RadarOnline.
According to Sue-Ann Robinson, who represents the family but is not related to them, "The FBI says we cannot release the documents [autopsy results] to you because the case is still open, because we are waiting for documents to be translated to English that we received from the Mexican authorities."
'Red flags everywhere'
Sue-Ann continued, "Which again, red flags everywhere because you've made a decision in the case, you've announced the decision publicly to the family and to the public, but you're saying the case is still not closed and admitting that some of the documents from the investigative file that arguably would affect your decision to charge have not been fully translated," as per reports.
The Robinsons are still skeptical due to "the lack of transparency in the investigation," according to the Robinsons' attorney, "but they're not deterred." "There's still a path to justice," she continued, "and the family recognizes that."
