Scott Lassiter allowed the camera to remain in place and planned to capture the person who planted it

RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA: Tim Moore, who has been sued by the former councilman Scott Lassiter, also allegedly spied on Lassiter with a camera. Lassiter found the camera hidden in the flower bed on June 1. He was clearing the leaves when he noticed the tiny gadget. Lassiter instead let the camera be there and planned on capturing the individual who planted it hoping he will return for the gadget. According to him, six days later, the intruder was captured on film when he returned to collect the device.

Moore is accused of having a sordid three-year affair with Jamie Liles Lassiter. Lassiter’s attorney wants to go for an unknown ‘John Doe’ but is not sure if he was working on his own or with the team. ''John Doe is currently an unidentified defendant. We would like to identify him as soon as possible so that he can be named and served in Mr Lassiter's pending civil action,'' said Lassiter's attorney Alicia Jurney. She further stated to the Daily Mail, “It's upsetting to realize that, while he was sleeping in what he believed to be the privacy of his home, an unknown person was setting up a hidden camera only a few yards away intending to capture him in this intimate setting.”

Lassiter admitted to spying on his wife Jamie Leslie

The lawsuit filed earlier this week accuses Moore of destroying his marriage by luring his wife into "group sex and other degrading acts". Moore, however, has strongly denied Lassiter’s claims On the other hand, Liles Lassiter reacted by saying that she separated from her husband a long time back.

The veteran GOP is a divorced man with two children, who secretly started dating Lassiter. The latter initially got to know him while she worked as an executive director of the North Carolina Conference of Clerks of Superior Court. The suit also submitted a blurry photo of the alleged pair coming out from a steakhouse as evidence of their affair. “After dinner, Defendant Tim Moore drove Mrs Lassiter, in the Lassiters' car, to his residence in Raleigh, where they spent hours together and, upon information and belief, had sexual intercourse,” according to the suit.

'Outrageous and defamatory'

According to the court filing, “Mrs Lassiter tearfully confessed that she had been involved in an extramarital affair with Defendant Tim Moore for more than three years, that she had engaged in sexual activity with Defendant Tim Moore (including group sex with other individuals seeking Defendant Tim Moore's political favor), and that she feared ending the relationship with Defendant Tim Moore would result in losing her job.” The court filing further read, “Defendant Tim Moore's intentional conduct with Mrs. Lassiter revealed a perverse form of symbiosis in which he persuaded her to engage in degrading acts to satisfy his desires.”

Liles Lassiter has called the lawsuit ''outrageous and defamatory.'' "The claims are not only false but impossible as we've been separated with a signed separation document for years," she told NBC.
