Brad Pitt once revealed his girlfriend in college used to call on his 'bulls**t about any romantic ideas' he had about life

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt has come well past his relationship with Angelina Jolie, with rumors swirling that love is flourishing with his current girlfriend Ines de Ramon. It has also been speculated that while the new lovebirds have not yet moved in together, things seem to be heading in that direction, as per Us Weekly. While Pitt's illustrious dating profile includes several Hollywood A-listers like Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, and Gwyneth Paltrow, the ‘Bullet Train’ star apparently didn't have a great experience with his first girlfriend, who often called him on his “bulls**t” while directing him to a career of acting. Read on to know more about Pitt's first relationship.

In a classic case of opposite attracts, Brad Pitt, an artist and art enthusiast, was once in love with a “hardcore realist.” The only common trait they shared was religion, as the ‘Babylon’ star was raised a Southern Conservative Baptist, while his girlfriend was a “Methodist preacher’s kid.” In an interview with Parade in 2007, Pitt reminisced about his first love, with whom he was “together for a semester."

‘She was a hardcore realist’

The ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ actor recalled in the interview that his ex-girlfriend was not that into him romantically. "She was a Methodist preacher's kid. She wasn't that into me, truthfully, although we were together for a semester," he said.

However, he recalled she was really “tough” as she had to suffer the loss of her older brother. The ‘Troy’ star recalled about his college life, "She was a hardcore realist. She called me on so much bulls**t about any romantic ideas that I had grown up with about life. It was my first year in college." Pitt also talked about his life during his time as a student at the University of Missouri.

‘She helped me more than anyone else’

However, Pitt also said that his first lover helped him in launching his career in Hollywood. The ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ star said, "She helped me more than anyone else as far as setting off in my own direction.”

Pitt, who was raised in a “straight-laced” religious family, was then having a change of heart as he was more keen on pursuing his acting career. He recalled, "It was my first year in college and I was pushing back against the religion thing. In my eyes it was a mechanism of guilt , this engrained system, used to keep the flock in servitude."

Pitt, who felt guilty because of his passion, was then supported by his then-girlfriend. "Guilt is the thing I find most evil about it. It's the thing I rail against the most. She helped me in defining what I believed,” said Pitt.
