Pittsburgh Steelers Rumors: Antonio Brown even thinks Matt Canada is a horrible OC, a Cleveland radio host wants the Steelers injured, George Pickens fights back.

Pittsburgh Steelers Rumors: Antonio Brown called out Matt Canada

Despite his incoherent tweets and borderline awful music career, Antonio Brown does know a thing or two about NFL offense. Specifically, he knows plenty about the Steelers offense, which has looked all out of sorts since the 2021 NFL season. Unfortunately for Matt Canada, that also coincides to when he took over as offensive coordinator. Pittsburgh has yet to pass the 400-yard barrier in that timeframe.

AB, thinking the Steelers played on Sunday rather than Monday, made a bold comment on Matt Canada's future.

Brown's relationship with the Steelers remains on the mend, but it's improved in recent months. In twitter conversations with Ryan Clark and other former teammates, Brown has shown he's willing to work past previous issues.

As for Canada, it's unlikely he'll be fired during the regular season. Doing so would stunt Kenny Pickett's development and force the young quarterback to learn a new system on the fly in his second campaign and first full season as starter.

Canada's job status is on thin ice, and the man who hired him in the first place -- Mike Tomlin -- looks far too patient given the putrid on-field product fans have been forced to watch the last few years.

Steelers Rumors: Cleveland radio host wishes for injuries

On the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show, Adam 'The Bull' Gerstenhaber wished for the worst for Pittsburgh players. While the Steelers-Browns rivalrly is one of the toughest in the AFC, neither side should be hoping for injuries, even if it's the non-severe kind, as Gerstenhaber would later put it.

"I want to see Steelers' players, I know some people are going to cringe when I say this," Gerstenhaber said. "I don't give a you-know-what. I need Steelers players to leave the game and need help to get off the field. Make all the cringe faces you want. I don't want anyone permanently disabled or hurt permanently. Kick their behind."

It's completely acceptable to want your favorite team to win. That's nothing new, especially for a fanbase which craves winning as much as Cleveland's. However, wishing injury upon any team goes beyond just fandom, but rather impacting the livelihoods of the athletes we root for on a weekly basis.

Gerstenhaber's comments aren't any indication of how the Browns themselves feel, nor the majority of the fanbase. But there is always a small sect of fans who are willing to go above and beyond what's acceptable. This ain't it.

Pittsburgh Steelers Rumors: George Pickens is hurt

It's been a tough couple of weeks for the Pittsburgh Steelers receiving corps. After a blowout loss to the San Francisoc 49ers, it became clear that Diontae Johnson will miss several weeks with an injury of his own. Now, just days prior to Pittsburgh's Week 2 game against rival Cleveland, George Pickens has suffered a hamstring injury.

Pickens will need to step up without Johnson in the lineup. He was expected to take a leap forward in Year 2 with Kenny Pickett, but he was barely targeted against San Francisco. Pickens wasn't happy on the sideline, and even liked an Instagram comment that suggested he needed better QB play to unlock his potential. Leave it to the Steelers to always have drama in their wide receiver room.

Frankly, Pickens hasn't proven anything yet, especially not enough to take out his frustration on his quarterback. The former five-star recruit and Georgia Bulldog should use this opportunity to prove his talent can translate into on-field, regular season success.

Pickens hamstring issue doesn't seem too serious, as he wasn't listed on the team's injury report. However, fans should expect it to slow him some, perhaps forcing the Steelers to rely even more on Allen Robinson and Calvin Austin.
