CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA: Olympic figure skater Tara Lipinski, who married seasoned director Todd Kapostasy, revealed the heartbreaking moment she learned her unborn child had no heartbeat.
The 41-year-old Olympian was open about her infertility struggles and those of her 39-year-old husband, whom she allegedly married six years ago.

"She said, 'You'll come into the office, I'll make sure you're ovulating. I'll give you a trigger shot to make sure we know when you ovulate...' Then you just go home and do it naturally."

The athlete disclosed that before she was capable of having a baby naturally, she had four miscarriages, four unsuccessful IVF cycles, and operations. She then learned the baby didn't have a heartbeat.
The athlete said she was "praying" for a pulse but "just knew" something was amiss from the doctor's expression and that she was "worried" in the weeks before the scan.
The conversation then quickly moved to Tara's realization that there was no heartbeat, with the couple joking that she was "critiquing her body for failing her."
Tara mentioned that she never believed she would have trouble becoming pregnant before embarking on her reproductive journey.

She confessed to being "a little hopeful" and "pray[ing]" for a heartbeat to show up on the screen.
The athlete added, "Well you know, I was a little hopeful and just praying for a heartbeat and it's crazy that this little thing has a flicker that you'll see on a screen. It's a big milestone to reach."
"And I walked in and sat down and I just knew. I knew from watching her, that awkward silence, that searching, I could tell she just wanted to find this heartbeat."
