While Charity Lawson seemed to have a great hometown date with Aaron Bryant, she still sent him home narrowing her suitors to three

KATY, TEXAS: Charity Lawson 'had no doubts' that Aaron Bryant aka Aaron B, would be her spouse one day when she picked him for her first one-on-one date on 'The Bachelorette' Season 20. However, as Charity's ties with the other men increased, Aaron entered his Hometown Date in Houston, Texas, 'probably the furthest behind' in the final four.

Charity visited the hometowns of Aaron, Dotun Olubeko, Joey Graziadei, and Xavier Bonner on 'The Bachelorette' Season 20, Episode 6, although some of the family visits were better than others. Charity, a 27-year-old Columbus-based child, and family therapist began her journey with 25 suitors and has now reduced her group to just three. She eliminated Aaron after his homecoming date. There were highs and lows during Charity's hometown dates on 'The Bachelorette', and each family interaction left a unique imprint.

'My answer would not be in reflection of who Aaron is'

Although Charity eventually eliminated Aaron, their hometown date in Houston, Texas, was magnificent. His family greeted her with loving arms, and Charity even mentioned that she could see her future children visiting their grandparents at their home. Aaron's mother, Ethel, prepared a large amount of food for them, and there was a friendly family environment. Charity was liked by his family, and the feeling was mutual.

After introducing Charity to his family, the 30-year-old San Diego software salesman recreated that early spark by playing 'Just Wanna Know That You Love Me', the song Lauren Alaina serenaded them with on their first date, when they slow-danced on his high school football pitch. Despite their mutual agreement that they were "falling in love," Charity sent Aaron home at the end of the episode.

She'd previously told Aaron's mother, Ethel, that she'd "probably not" say yes if he proposed that day. "My answer would not be in reflection of who Aaron is or where I stand with him," Charity clarified. “I value what a proposal means, I value saying yes and only doing it only one time. And so for me, I want to be at a place so where when I say yes to my person, I’m 100 percent certain where I’m at.”

'Charity was honest with Aaron’s mom'

Seeing Charity's response, fans took to Twitter to write, "Love that Charity was honest with Aaron’s mom when she asked if she’d say yes if he proposed but like that was still wildly uncomfortable LOL." Another user noted, "Aaron’s mom when Charity said she wouldn’t accept a proposal from her son:" One quipped, "Aaron’s mom: What if Aaron proposed today what would you say? Charity:" A fourth user noted, "Love that Charity said naw I take a proposal very seriously to Aaron’s mom, that’s some real shit!!"

Others cringed saying, "Aaron’s mom: “if he proposed would you say yes?” Charity:" Another joined in, "Ethel: if Aaron proposed to you today what would you say? Charity:" Some joked, ""If he proposed today, would you say yes?" "Probably not."
