Joe Walsh later contradicted the band's official statement, saying that this tour will probably be 'next to the last tour'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Eagles' guitarist, Joe Walsh, backtracked on the bands' previous statement, explaining that their upcoming tour, The Long Goodbye, will not be their last one. He claims it will likely be "the next to the last tour" and that they will "play until nobody comes."

Walsh made the remarks on July 7 at an event in Los Angeles commemorating Ringo Starr's 83rd birthday, only a day after the upcoming tour was announced. The band gained fame through rock singles such as 'Hotel California' but 'Life in the Fast Lane' was the song that established Walsh as the band's new guitarist in Bernie Leadon's place. The Eagles did say in a statement that the tour would most certainly overflow and that they would "perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands," as reported by Daily Mail.

'Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed'

The tour, which starts at Madison Square Garden on September 7, will feature Walsh, Don Henley, Timothy B Schmit, Vince Gill, and Deacon Frey.
