PARIS, FRANCE: A new wax figure of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was unveiled in the Grevin Museum in Paris on October 16 and has left the Internet community wondering about the inspiration for the sculpture.

The museum recently unveiled a photo of the wax figure of the 'Jumanji' star on Instagram. The wax figure stands with arms crossed in front in blue slacks, a black belt, sneakers, and a blue golf shirt.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is the first wrestler to feature at Grevin Museum

The former WWE star has become the first wrestler to have a wax statue in the Grevin Museum in Paris.

His statue was included in the museum as the result of a Grevin Awards competition launched in March 2022.

In March 2022, the museum authorities asked internet users to choose ten international stars they would like to see in the museum. Johnson won 48% votes in the poll over the other nine stars, Ariana Grande, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Dua Lipa, Elon Musk, Selena Gomez, Lupita Nyong'o, Chris Pratt and Margot Robbie.

The wax figure is kept in the Salle des Colonnes near the statue of Leonardo Di Caprio.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's fans roast his new wax figure

Fans and followers of the WWE star are extremely unhappy with the new wax figure.

Many criticized the artist for making a figure that looked more like Johnson's 'Fast and Furious' co-star Vin Diesel, and the brand mascot, Mr Clean.

Johnson's and Diesel's year-long feud ended this summer when the former announced his return to the 'Fast and Furious' franchise.

Comments on the Instagram post by the museum are filled with angry fans showing their disappointment.

A user mocked the museum, saying, "They ran out of printer ink…so unfortunate."

While one user stated, "That's Vin 'The Rock' Diesel," another also echoed, "Thought it was Vin Diesel."

"Not one of your best guys - considering the quality of the rest of the museum, there's something not right about the sculpt on this," one user criticized the artist.

Another user commented, "That a good Mr clean statue ig but that's not the rock."

"Who is that?? Looks like Mr. Clean. Fix him," commented one user and another said, "Unveiling the New and Improved Mr. Clean!"

One user said on X (formerly Twitter), "That’s not The Rock. That’s Vin Diesel and Mr. Clean after executing the fusion technique."

While a user tweeted an image of Mr Clean.

Many users blamed the Grevin Museum for whitewashing the 'Moana' actor.

"Why would you white wax (wash) him?" asked a user.

One user said, "just came here to say what others are saying.. why did you make him white?? he is not. needs to be fixed because it's rude."

"They took all the melanin out of his body," tweeted one user.

Another user said, "This feels racist."

"This is whitewashing history," commented a user.

"I thought he is golden brown colour. Never knew he is white," stated another user.
