ZURICH, SWITZERLAND: Tina Turner, the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, died at the age of 83 after a “long illness” at her home in Switzerland on May 24. Announcing the news of her death, a statement posted on her official Facebook page read, “With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.” Following the update, fans and friends poured their hearts out celebrating the music legend, who began her career with her first husband Ike Turner's Kings of Rhythm in 1957.
But Tina, wasn’t just a singing sensation; her talent went beyond music. She also acted in a few films that included 1975 film ‘Tommy’ where she acted as the Acid Queen. But she is widely remembered for her on-screen moment in 1993 film ‘Last Action Hero’, an action-comedy-fantasy film directed and produced by John McTiernan, opposite an actor who was the biggest movie star -- Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played the role of Jack Slater in the film.
