‘Today’ host Craig Melvin recently got praised by his co-hosts Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer on-air

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’s beloved host Craig Melvin recently got praised by his co-hosts Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer on-air as the ladies couldn’t help but pay him a compliment.

On Thursday, September 21 ‘Today’ broadcast, Jones and Dreyer showered compliments on Melvin after which he notably looked apprehensive.

This came after Melvin went missing from the morning show recently as his co-host Savannah Guthrie shared that he is “on assignment”.

Although it wasn’t revealed at the time what the assignment was about, Melvin later took to Instagram to share his upcoming new projects.

Craig Melvin’s sharp look

On Thursday before kicking off with the segment, Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin, and Dylan Dreyer had an interesting conversation.

Jones looking at Melvin said, “This is delightful Criag. Like a denim situation”, referring to Melvin’s outlook. He replied looking shocked, “Thank you very much. Oh, wow. Yeah.”

Jones continued asking Melvin, “Have we ever done that for you?”

“I was, like, expecting, like, something that's dropped from the ceiling. No, but, like an angle,” Melvin added.

Jones again chimed in as Dreyer agreed with her, “I, like, literally very nice. Yes, like a denim.”

Craig Melvin will honor his late brother at a charity event

On September 24 and 25, ‘Today’ host Craig Melvin and his wife Lindsay Czarniak will be hosting the Bottoms Up Invitational, a two-day charity event in Connecticut to help raise awareness for colorectal cancer.

The event will kick off on Sunday with a concert scheduled from 6 pm until midnight at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport.

The concert lineup includes performances by Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors, Ray Boudreaux from ‘The Voice’, and Javier Colon, the winner of the first season of ‘The Voice’ among others.

Melvin and Czarniak are co-hosting the events in Bridgeport and Norwalk for the second time, with the aim of raising funds for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals in preventing and fighting colon cancer.

These events hold personal significance for Melvin as they serve as a tribute to his late brother, Lawrence Meadows, who tragically passed away at the age of 43 in 2020 due to stage 4 colon cancer.

In the previous year's events, Melvin mentioned that they successfully raised $1.1 million for this important cause.
