ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Todd and Julie Chrisley have seen their prison sentences reduced as they have each had more than a year taken off their terms.

Will Todd and Julie Chrisley's sentences be further reduced?

Speaking to Insider on Thursday, September 7, Chrisley's attorney Jay Surgent stated, "Without a doubt, Todd and Julie are model incarcerated individuals who received exorbitant sentences."

"I believe Todd is down to 10 years and Julie is now at five years," he continued.

Surgent also expressed optimism that the couple's sentences will be reduced further based on the new sentencing guidelines set to be implemented in November 2023.

What are the charges against Todd and Julie Chrisley?

On November 23, 2022, the reality stars were accused of submitting fake documents to the bank when they applied for loans.

Prosecutors also accused that while trying to rent a home in California, Julie submitted false bank statements and credit reports.

Mark Braddock, the ex-business partner of Todd alleged that the 'Chrisley Knows Best' patriarch had engaged in a relationship with him and claimed the couple paid a blackmailer to keep the alleged affair secret.

With charges of wire fraud, tax evasion, and financial crimes, including bank fraud, obstruction of justice, and conspiring to defraud the IRS, the reality show couple's spin-off series and shows were canceled after they were indicted in August 2019.

Sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison in November 2022, the pair was found guilty in June 2022.

In a press release issued following the sentencing, the IRS Criminal Investigation Atlanta field office special agent James E Dorsey stated, "This sentencing serves notice that no matter a person’s celebrity status, there are severe consequences for defrauding the American tax system."
