Today's USMNT news includes Jesse Marsch being on Monaco's shortlist, Augsburg has rejected a bid for Ricardo Pepi and we round up how all the Americans got on in the final day of the La Liga season.
USMNT news: Jesse Marsch on Monaco shortlist
AS Monaco has now parted with their manager Philippe Clement following the conclusion of the Ligue 1 season last weekend. The campaign ended with Monaco finishing in 6th place and will therefore have no European soccer next season.
Rumors of who the next head coach could be, have already started doing the rounds. Nicolo Schira has reported that "In AS Monaco's shortlist to replace Clement as the new coach there are Jesse Marsch, Franck Haise and Matthias Jaissle. Talks ongoing."
Marsch's experience of coaching in Europe at Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig and Leeds United will put him in good stead for the Monaco job. However, it would be disappointing for many USMNT fans if he takes it ahead of becoming the next Stars and Stripes head coach.
Folarin Balogun has also been linked with Monaco, so we could have Marsch mentoring the young American next season.
There is strong competition for the Monaco job, with Haise who guided Lens to a 2nd place finish also in the running. Although, it would be hard for him to leave a club that he has just got into the Champions League with.
Also in contention is Jaissle who like Marsch is a product of the Red Bull group. Jaissle is currently the manager of Red Bull Salzburg and has won the Austrian Bundesliga with them in back-to-back seasons.
USMNT news: Bid rejected for Ricardo Pepi
Feyenoord looked to be winning the race with PSV Eindhoven to sign Ricardo Pepi. However, it looks like they have hit a stumbling block.
According to 1908, "Feyenoord's opening bid for Ricardo Pepi has been rejected by FC Augsburg. The Rotterdammers are busy in the background preparing a second offer, which will be submitted soon."
PSV are still working on who their next manager will be, so Feyenoord will likely have more time to sign Pepi. There has been interest in Pepi from other European leagues but it looks like the American wants to continue in the Eredivisie.
USMNT news: La Liga roundup
The La Liga season ended yesterday with Yunus Musah's Valencia and Luca de la Torre's Celta Vigo managing to survive relegation. De la Torre started and played 70 minutes but Musah came on as a sub in the second half and was then shown a red card for a bad challenge.
If this is Musah's last game for the club, then he has definitely gone out with a bang. There has been a lot of interest in the midfielder and he is reportedly ready to move on.
Also, Luca Koleosho who is eligible to play for America, Canada and Italy scored his first top-flight goal for Espanyol in a 3-3 draw with Almeria. However, his side finished 19th and were relegated to the Segunda Division.
