Today's USMNT rumors on Independence Day include Christian Pulisic reportedly planning to turn down Lyon in favor of a move to AC Milan. Brenden Aaronson has been linked with Union Berlin and Ricardo Pepi is set to join PSV Eindhoven.
USMNT rumors: Christian Pulisic to turn down Lyon
AC Milan and Lyon have been battling to sign Christian Pulisic but the Italian side has received a huge boost as the American does not want to go to the French team.
ESPN has reported that "Pulisic will turn down Lyon this summer, preferring instead to move to AC Milan after agreeing to a deal in principle with the Serie A club.
"The Italian club intend to make an improved offer after seeing their opening bid of €15m turned down, with Chelsea valuing Pulisic at €25m."
Lyon would have offered Pulisic regular game time but they cannot offer European soccer. Milan will be in the Champions League next season, which is the level that the USMNT forward sees himself at.
Pulisic could be joined in Milan with fellow American, Yunus Musah. According to Antonio Vitello, Milan is trying to agree on a deal with Valencia to sign Musah.
USMNT rumors: Brenden Aaronson to Union Berlin
Brenden Aaronson looks set to escape from playing in the Championship with Leeds United, as the American is on his way to the Bundesliga.
MLS Transfers has revealed that "Aaronson will be joining Union Berlin on loan." This is a great move for Aaronson as he will be at a club with Champions League soccer and he will be reunited with his USMNT teammate, Jordan Pefok.
This would leave Tyler Adams as the last American standing at Leeds. However, he has recently been linked with West Ham United. So it should only be a matter of time before Adams also departs.
USMNT rumors: Ricardo Pepi to PSV Eindhoven
Ricardo Pepi has been rumored to be joining PSV Eindhoven from Augsburg for some time now. However, the deal looks finally set to be completed soon.
Rik Elfrink has said that "Pepi is undergoing a medical examination in Eindhoven today and will soon join PSV."
Pepi's move to Augsburg did not go to plan but after spending last season at FC Groningen, it looks like the American has found his level in the Eredivisie.
