It wasn't enough that the Miami Heat utterly embarrassed the Boston Celtics on Sunday, going up 3-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 128-102 victory. Jimmy Butler and his teammates took it to another level by making the Celtics the butt of the joke at every turn.

Butler went straight for the jugular with Al Horford in particular, dropping a timeout celebration on him in the most brutal moment with the Celtics season falling apart before their eyes.

After Gabe Vincent knocked down a three pointer add to Miami's third-quarter lead, forcing Boston to take a timeout to stop the bleeding, Butler dropped to one knee and gave a timeout signal. It was a devastating callback to Horford's Game 1 celebration.

Butler and the Heat have been getting the last laugh all series. They took away Boston's home court advantage in Game 1 with a 123-116 victory then added to the misery at TD Garden with a 111-105 Game 2 win.

But the Celtics have been a strong road team in the playoffs, so their hopes of getting back into the series in Miami were high. Then they were thoroughly crushed by the Heat who put on a show in front of their home crowd.

Miami took a 61-46 lead into halftime and they came out of the break ready to put their foot on Boston's throat. The end result was arguably the Celtics' worst playoff loss in memory.

Game 4 awaits on Tuesday but no one in Boston has any illusions about where this series is heading. The question isn't whether the Heat will advance to the NBA Finals. It's whether they'll pull of the sweep or have to wait a few more days to finish things off.
