'AGT' Season 18 performer Alfie Andrew moves ahead in the show after being greenflagged by all four judges

PASADENA CALIFORNIA: Alfie Andrew has surprised everyone with his cool demeanor. But will he continue to amaze everyone with his soulful voice? The 12-year-old will soon enter puberty and his voice will not be the same as it is now. The fans of 'AGT' even fear that the talent of the boy "will be lost."

Alfie got a yes from four judges, but was it worth it? 'AGT' Season 18 fans were not sure if the preteen should have been given the chance to move on. Many claim that Alfie was not as good as other singers on the show. Does this mean he will be eliminated soon?

The only thing standing between Alfie and his singing career is 'puberty'

Alfie stunned everyone with his calm and cool nature on the stage. The singer accepted, "I am definitely nervous." But, he certainly didn't let the nervous part overtake him. Alfie brought a smile to the judges' faces by singing 'Hold My Hand' by Lady Gaga, gaining a standing ovation. Heidi Klum commented, "Wow Alfie, you can really sing. You just nailed it." Howie Mandel agreed to Heidi's comment. However, Howie believed that "the only thing standing between you (Alfie) and an amazing singing career is puberty." Simon Cowell claims that Alfie had a "very distinct" voice. But, it is hard to say whether the voice will have the same melody in it even when he hits puberty.

'The kid couldn't sing'

'AGT' fans were not happy with judges saying yes to Alfie. Many believed that there were other singers who did well than him on the show. A fan tweeted, "No. The kid couldn't sing." Another claimed, "Alfie was fine. I think we've heard better singers this season." "Meh he seems like a nice kid but this song does nothing for me, absolutely nothing," wrote another.

Moreover, some of the fans were concerned thinking that when Alfie hits puberty, his voice will change and he will not longer have the same talent. A fan commented, "His voice will change soon, and all that talent will get lost." Seeing Alfie perform on 'AGT' fans asked NBC to have a separate show for children. One tweeted, "I said it for the longest time that AGT needs a kids version." Another joked, "lol SImon suggest making a kid version of the show with kid judges? I sure hope he was joking."

Will Alfie be able to survive on 'AGT' Season 18 for too long? Let's wait for further episodes to get the answer.

Tune into NBC on Tuesdays to catch new episodes of 'America's Got Talent' Season 18 at 8 PM/ET.
