Logan Paul said, 'The circumstance I’m about to describe is one of the most interesting phenomenons I’ve ever seen online'

PUERTO RICO: Logan Paul and KSI, two social media personalities who ventured into boxing, have come a long way in their journey. They are now on good terms and, in 2022, collaborated to create 'PRIME,' a hydrating drink.

Despite being business partners today, KSI and Paul once had a bitter rivalry. Leading up to their professional showdown in 2019, both men engaged in playful taunting of each other.

However, the situation escalated when Paul made a comment about killing his boxing rival. Paul's behavior continues to draw criticism.

What happened between Logan Paul and KSI?

KSI mocked 'The Maverick' for his controversial video filmed in Japan's Suicide Forest. In response, Paul made provocative statements that stunned fans and netizens worldwide.

Paul faced backlash for his comments during a news conference in East London, causing the hashtag #LoganPaulIsOverParty to trend on Twitter.

"I might kill this man," Paul remarked after repeated barbs from KSI, especially when he pulled out a puppy that resembled his late Pomeranian Kong, who had been eaten by predators.

According to accounts, Paul stated, “You all may not know it but JJ’s on his fifth abortion. His fifth. That’s five babies dead.”

Paul went on to express his anger and vowed to kill KSI, “And I think I might return the favor. And I might kill you. I might end you. I am going to light you on fire, bro.” However, Paul did not mean to actually kill KSI.

Following the fight, KSI did not return to the ring. Paul, on the other hand, landed an opportunity to meet Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition, which he survived and ended in a tie. Paul and KSI are reuniting, but this time outside of the boxing ring.

Logan Paul clarified his statement

Paul's statements provoked widespread condemnation online, with pro-choice campaigners condemning him and calling his remarks "horrific."

The 28-year-old later responded in a YouTube video on his channel, attempting to clarify his remarks. Paul stated, “The circumstance I’m about to describe is one of the most interesting phenomenons I’ve ever seen online."

He continued to say, “I was very harsh in what appeared to be my condemnation of JJ’s choice to have five abortions. I said something distasteful and insensitive, I think I said something like ‘I’m going to kill you bro and end you the way you did to the babies’. In fact, it left a bad taste in my mouth."

He continued, "My rebuttal for that would be that in the context for a fight where you have two guys who are literally trying to kill each other in a ring, this fell into the category of ‘fight talk’, which can get pretty toxic. This definitely comes into that category."

"This went semi-viral on Twitter, it might be an attempt to cancel me again and I oddly enough understood it because I said it in a chauvinistic, hasty way because I was triggered and I hit the red button," he further added.

Paul concluded by saying, “The point I tried to make, as a pro-choice guy I’m wondering at what point does JJ’s blatantly irresponsible sexual life cross the line, because he’s using abortion as a means of contraception.”

After all the drama, Logan Paul and KSI are putting on a Misfits Boxing event called "The Prime Card" in the near future. Both men verified the announcement on social media. The event will take place on October 14th at the AO Arena in Manchester, England, and will be broadcast live on DAZN pay-per-view.
