Lara Spencer is the creator, executive producer and host of ‘Everything But the House’ and recently promoted the show's second season

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ star Lara Spencer is known for donning multiple hats. Apart from anchoring the morning show with Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, and George Stephanopoulos on weekdays, Lara also is a host to a reality show that is well into its second season.

The 54-year-old has a niche for juggling multiple projects which also include HGTV’s competition series ‘Flea Market Flip’. But for now, Lara has embraced her love for the interiors of houses and returned to host ‘Everything But the House’, a reality show currently airing on Lifetime. The show is back for a second season and Lara reminded her fans to tune into another episode of the show via an ecstatic Instagram post. However, it was not just words but a small invaluable item that Lara used to invite people to watch the second episode of the new season.

What is ‘Everything But The House’ about?

‘Everything But the House’ Season 1 premiered in 2018. The show captures families that need to clear the clutter out of their homes or downsize and calls on a group of appraisers to help them cash in on hidden treasures hiding in plain sight. After searching and clearing out a home, the appraisers gauge the potential value of everything and auction it off. In the end, the families are surprised by the value of their belongings and they start a new chapter of their lives with some cash in hand.

Be it decluttering or moving to a new place, families can use this group of appraisers and earn some easy money or even just learn about the value of things that they did not put to any use and considered unimportant. Lara Spencer plays the host and speaks to different families and offers her perspective on items in their house.

How did Lara Spencer promote ‘Everything But The House’?

Lara took to Instagram and shared a clip from the basement of her home. In the video, Lara clearly stated that in honor of the second season of the show, she will come to her basement every week and look for items that could be of value. She captioned her post, "Tune in! Tuesday night at 10/9c on Lifetime for a new episode of #everythingbutthehouse to search for vintage and antique treasures."

She further urged viewers to look for hidden treasures in the house after discovering a biscuit tin box from the year 1900 in her basement, which she bought while filming 'Flea Market Flip'. She stated, “I believe I paid $10 for it and now it is valued at $200 on eBay.” Lara stressed the importance of such items in our houses and urged her followers to look for these small items that could allow them to feature on ‘Everything But The House’.
