Bachelor Nation was left in stitches after ABC introduced Jordan Rodgers and JoJo Fletcher as a 'successful Bachelorette couple' in the latest episode

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the Week 3 episode, Charity Lawson is joined by previous Bachelorette Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher and sports pundit Jordan Rodgers to assist her on the group date inspired by Greta Gerwig's upcoming film 'Barbie'. Fans, on the other hand, couldn't help but react when the alums were introduced as the "successful Bachelorette couple" by the producers.

JoJo participated in Season 20 of 'The Bachelor' alongside Ben Higgins in 2016. She was the runner-up, but she was defeated by Lauren Bushnell. That same year, she was named the Bachelorette for Season 12. JoJo picked former pro-quarterback Jordan as the Bachelorette winner over runner-up Robby Hayes during her time on the show. Jordan dropped to one knee and proposed to JoJo in an emotional episode after she revealed her pick. The couple has been in love since they got engaged on the season finale of 'The Bachelorette' in 2016. Jordan re-proposed to JoJo with a new ring in the summer of 2019 when the couple was looking for wedding sites.

'Successful Bachelorette couple'

There was a huge group date with Joey, Aaron B, Michael, James, Caleb B, Aaron S, Sean, Xavier, Tanner, Adrian, Dotun, and John. Fans aren't sure whether JoJo and Jordan's introduction as a "successful Bachelorette couple" was meant to be funny, but many laughed when it appeared on-screen.

Bachelors and Bachelorettes have seldom stayed with their winning contestants throughout the show's history. Four 'Bachelorette' couples are still together -- Trista and Ryan Sutter, Desiree and Chris Siegfried, JoJo and Jordan Rodgers, and Rachel and Bryan Abasolo. These leads got married after receiving a proposal from their ultimate pick. As a result, 'The Bachelorette' has a slightly better overall success rate than its male counterpart, coming in at 22%.

'The success rate is hella low'

Seeing the alums introduced the way they were, fans sighed on the internet and mocked the producers. One viewer wrote, "We’ve come to the point where they have to write “successful” Bachelor couple when alumni show up." Another quipped, "Not the “Successful Bachelorette Couple” to remind us of the rare occurrences where a couple on this show stays together."

One user noted, "“Successful Bachelorette Couple” I’m dead at that caption the success rate is hella low." A fourth user said, "Them captioning Jojo and Jordan 'successful bachelorette couple' is unintentionally funny."

One viewer wrote, "Kinda sad that because of the show's track record, JoJo and Jordan have to be labeled as "successful couple" instead of just "former Bachelorette."" While another user joked, "“Jojo and jordan successful bachelorette couple” one of two IJBOL."

'The Bachelorette' airs weekly on ABC on Monday, from 9-11 pm ET.
