The Boot Camp is being organized for the second time, the first edition having been held in 2022

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Perhaps one of the most well-known figures in the world of trivia, 'Jeopardy!' alum James Holzhauer will be returning with the second edition of the Game Show Boot Camp training program. He will be joined by other icons of trivia gaming in this program, which is perfect for all trivia TV show aspirants.

Fans have already started gearing up for the camp, that is set to begin in August. They have shared ways in which they were preparing for the program, which will finally bring them one step closer to appearing on their favorite TV game shows.

What is Game Show Boot Camp?

The official website for the training camp describes its purpose as, "Advanced training for people who want to get on their favorite show... and WIN! PLUS an opportunity to meet and compete with top TV performers and benefit charity!" The Boot Camp is being organized for the second time, the first edition having been held in 2022.

It is a live boot camp that engages game show aspirants in different rounds of trivia with legends like Holzhauer, Brad Rutter, Sam Buttrey, Jason Zuffranieri, Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach and Sam Kavanaugh. It will be held in Las Vegas on August 5, and while the applications are closed, you can still be an audience member, which will provide opportunities to interact with the game show legends and to also get their autographs. The proceeds from the game show are set aside for a charity led by Project 150.

Fans are gearing up for the big day

In a Reddit thread, fans recently started discussing ways in which they can prepare themselves for the boot camp. Many have exchanged advice and tips on how to have a great time while also increasing their chances to get to the final rounds of the camp. One of the participants shared in the thread, "Have been trying to get to know some more folks attending myself, as I gather from chatting with previous attendees that the experience goes by pretty quickly and there isn't much (any?) time devoted to icebreakers, etc." Another added, "I know a couple people who went last year and it sounds like it was a very packed schedule with a ton of events. They also did live auditions, so a lot of big names in the quizzing world were there. Amazingly, the guy who won the trivia masters showdown…thing in front of the producers still hasn’t gotten the call." A third wrote, "I’ll be there and I’m excited to meet some people from this sub in person."

Others have expressed how they would want to be involved in the boot camp somehow but they were facing various troubles, one of them being the location. One user wrote, "This will be my last one due to logistics. I live in Atlanta, it's in Vegas. Also, I'd like to go to O'Brien's next year..." Another shared, "Comes a little late for me. Wish I'd known about it last year!" And finally, another fan posted, "I couldn't attend there because tickets may be expensive. Plus, I live in Ohio, which is in the Midwestern part of the United States. So, yeah! Hopefully Cris Pannullo will attend there."
