LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Harry Styles' mother clapped back after being viciously body-shamed on social media by a troll. Anne Twist, 55, a children's author, posted highlights from her month on Instagram to give her 2.6 million fans a peek at her latest shenanigans on Thursday, August 3. In the first photo, Harry's mother was standing with her friends while wearing a mint green silk dress as she attended a friend's wedding.
A fan exclaimed, "That green dress on you Anne!" A troll replied, referring to her trip last month, "That can't be a recent pic because she looked very heavy Italy." Many followers jumped to Anne's defense right away, but she responded, "It's a July pic. I'm sorry you feel the need to comment on my weight!," as cited by Daily Mail.
Who is Harry Styles' mother?
Harry, her celebrity son who just finished his Love On Tour shows, has helped Anne amass a sizable fan base. In an interview with the Daily Mail earlier this year, Anne admitted she gets along well with her daughter Gemma, a podcaster, and her son. She said, "Oh yes, we're all close, it's just geography. We all see each other when we can."
Anne, a former pub landlady, split from her children's father Desmond when Harry was seven years old. She married twice more, first to businessman John Cox and then to Robin Twist in 2013. Their wedding took place in Congleton, Cheshire, and Harry, who was just 19 and already famous with 1D, served as best man. Robin died of cancer four years later, at the age of 57, as reported by Daily Mail.
Who is Anne's current partner?
Harry has talked in interviews about his joyful childhood. Anne, who has had a new partner for the last three years whom she chooses not to name, recalled how her son's friendly, extroverted personality showed quickly, claimed Daily Mail. "He always had a big smile," she stated. "In comparison, Gemma was always the slightly quieter, less extroverted one." When asked what she thought was the secret to his success, Anne observed, "Music-wise, I think it's because he's very authentic to himself." "He takes his influences from what he feels, what he's listened to, what he likes. He's not thinking, "Right, I need to make this song for this particular demographic." He does what feels right to him – and it seems to be universally appreciated," she noted.
