NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Netflix's 'Surviving Paradise' contestant Shea Foster is a private jet broker for V2 jets and an entrepreneur. In spite of undergoing a spinal fusion back surgery, Shea is all set to tackle the extreme wilderness on the show.

Shea completed his bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Southeastern Louisiana University. He pursued a master's degree in International/Global Studies from Oklahoma State University.

After completing his studies, Shea joined the Big 12 Conference as an Executive Board Member. According to his LinkedIn profile, Shea has been working at V2 Jets as a Global Sales Manager since April 2023.

In 2021, Shea was involved in a tragic car accident when an 18-wheeler ran a red light and smashed into him. He suffered multiple injuries and had to undergo a spinal fusion back surgery.

At the time, he wasn't sure if would be able to walk or run again. However, he has since recovered from the injuries and became an All-American in cross country.

Shea is now ready to camp deep in the forest, exposed to harsh elements and surviving in the dangerous terrain.

Shea Foster reveals Netflix's 'Surviving Paradise' diet

Netflix's 'Surviving Paradise' contestants had to survive the difficult terrain of the rural, mountainous region of Greece called Lefkada only on rice and beans. However, Shea has detailed the diet which he received on the Netflix show.

In a recent interview with Reality Titbit, Shea revealed that he and the cast were given food portions to ration, which included one protein and one carbohydrate which they had to cook over the fire.

Shea revealed to the outlet, "A lot of people don’t know how to cook with no ingredients. It made me feel very uncultured cooking with no flavor. People got cranky as they wanted more food." He added, "When everyone went to camp in the wilderness, 'nobody could poop because they weren’t getting enough nutrients."

Shea added that he has PTSD over the food they had to eat, which he would "never eat again."

Shea Foster claims he suffered 'iPhone syndrome'

Shea Foster revealed in the interview that he had also suffered an 'iPhone syndrome'. In the Netflix show, the contestants' phones had been taken away.

However, when Shea's phone was taken away from him, he claimed that he had 'iPhone syndrome' as he "felt like there was something vibrating in his pocket." Shea also admitted to the outlet that he was completely himself on the show but thought he was going to "pass out at times."

Besides mobile phones, the contestants' other things including any digital devices, clothes, shoes and accessories were taken away.

Shea said that he had packed all of his nice beachwear clothes, including his jewelry, shoes, glasses, and phone, but everything was taken away.

'Surviving Paradise' is all set to debut on October 20 on Netflix.
