Beyonce cancelled the Pittsburgh stop of her Renaissance Tour citing 'production logistics and scheduling issues'

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Beyonce's fans in Pittsburgh are sorely disappointed as the singer has reportedly cancelled her performance in the city as part of her Renaissance Tour. The singer, who was spotted at Michael Rubin's July 4 bash in The Hamptons, announced on Wednesday, July 5, that she had cancelled her concert in the city, citing various issues. She was slated to perform at the Acrisure Stadium on August 3.

As per Billboard, the singer's official website no longer listed Pittsburgh as a stop on her tour. Instead, it has listed Boston on August 1 and Washington, DC from August 5 to 6 as her next stops. Acrisure Stadium released a statement saying, "Due to production logistics and scheduling issues, unfortunately, the August 3rd Pittsburgh stop of the Renaissance World Tour will not be taking place." The Renaissance Tour stop also posted a statement on their Twitter page.

'Due to production logistics and scheduling conflicts'

Beyonce's Seattle concert scheduled for September 13 will now be delayed by one day. Lumen Field announced that the concert will take place on September 14 "due to production logistics and scheduling conflicts." Beyonce was scheduled to perform in Kansas City on September 18 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, but that event has been moved up to October 1. The delay was attributed to "production logistics and scheduling issues," as well, as per Deadline.

Pittsburgh fans demand an apology

Social media were left seething due to the announcement, especially since they were super-excited about Beyonce's tour. "I don't want a refund for the RWT in Pittsburgh I wanna go to the show! I had floor seats!" one disgruntled Twitter user stated. Another individual raged, "I don't think I have ever been this upset with someone I don't even know, who tf dropped the ball." Another Twitter user said, "My sister-in-law right now, somewhere in Pittsburgh....," with a gif of a woman who was visibly unhappy and frustrated. Someone else demanded an apology from the songstress and tweeted, "Honestly, I feel like an official apology is owed from her because the anticipation was HIGH!"

Another disbelieving fan added, "Not putting anyone on blast -- but I think Beyoncé's tour managers simply screwed up. Only two cities on the tour had only one full off-day between stops: Pittsburgh and Tampa. I'm guessing when an issue came up, the tour managers simply found it easier to cancel Pittsburgh." Someone else snarked and stated "That’s sad. anyways," and attached a photo of Taylor Swift, who is presently on her Eras Tour. Another disheartened fan wrote, "I am so hurt by this news. I had tickets for the date & it was my first time seeing her live. This was the culmination of a 20 year quest. Like I was in tears. And now I gotta jump on a plane to the FL heat & suffer in Tampa. UGH. But Bey here I come."

Beyonce's Renaissance tour schedule

Beginning on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, the Renaissance tour saw Beyonce perform in stadiums and arenas all around Europe until her final performance on June 27 at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland. She will next be in Toronto, where she will perform on July 8 and 9.

The singer will appear in Philadelphia on July 12 for her first US performance on the Renaissance tour before moving on to Nashville on July 15, Louisville on July 17, Minneapolis on July 20, Chicago on July 22 and 23, and Detroit on July 26. The 'Break My Soul' singer will make three appearances at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 1, 2 and 4.
