'To be a fat woman is one of the hardest things to do in this world,' said Claudia Oshry

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Claudia Oshry has recently shared her weight loss journey and admitted she’s been taking Ozempic. In an emotional interview, the famous podcast host of ‘The Toast’ revealed her secret method after gaining weight.

"The thing that's been harrowing — like, following me around — everybody wants to know if I'm taking Ozempic, Mounjaro, semaglutide," she said on Wednesday, August 16. "And the answer is: obviously. Yes, of course. You thought they were going to make a weight loss drug and I wasn't going to take it? You're dumb. Of course, I'm f—ing taking it," she added.

Why is ‘Ozempic’ so popular among celebrities?

Ozempic is an FDA-approved prescription medication for people who are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It is also known as Wegovy and Mounjaro and is among the company’s brand names including semaglutide and tirzepatide.

This drug works in the brain to impact satiety and is the latest weight loss trend in Hollywood.

The 29-year-old host added, “I think when I started, I was a little embarrassed. Like, 'Oh my God I have to inject myself with something just to get my fat ass to stop eating. Other people can do it without, why can't I?' In the beginning, my decision to not share was rooted in a little bit of shame."

She became a hit after creating her social media account ‘Girl With No Job.’ Oshry also talked about why she decided to take the prescribed drug, “The reason I’m nervous about sharing [how much I’ve lost] is because I’m ashamed of myself that I got to a place where I had 70 lbs. to lose. I could cry, I'm so mad at myself.”

The comedian said in her podcast, “Now I look back at pictures and see myself through this new lens and it makes me feel sad. I have very mixed emotions,” reports People.

Who should take Ozempic?

“To be a fat woman is one of the hardest things to do in this world. [But] I feel like I handled it as good as I could have and I’m proud of the fact I was able to have a full life [before losing weight],” she said.

In the end, Oshry cleared that it’s up to every individual whether they want to take this path. “I’m not suggesting anyone do this. I’m not suggesting anyone do anything. I just want to share what I’ve been doing. It’s been over a year since I decided I want to change my life. Now, I feel like I’m at a place where I’m comfortable-ish,” the content creator said.
