Joy Behar and Sara Haines get into a brief feud over 'The View' executive producer Brian Teta as they discuss romantic and platonic relationships

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It wouldn’t be a regular segment of ‘The View’ until at least one of the co-hosts either says or does something controversial, or snaps at other co-hosts. Unarguably, it’s usually Whoopi Goldberg or Sunny Hostin at the giving end of these antics, but in the most latest discussion about platonic relationships, Joy Behar snapped Sarah Haines over the show's executive producer Brian Teta. Hot topics, heated discussions, and especially different viewpoints on relationships often see the co-hosts riled up, and it has happened once again.

On the receiving end is Haines, so if you were expecting Behar versus Goldberg, this isn’t it. The co-hosts spent a good amount of time discussing platonic relationships and promoted Apple TV’s latest series ‘Platonic’ too. However, it didn’t take Behar long to snap at Haines, going as far as asking her to shut up, but it might not be over what you think.

‘He’s mine!’

As the co-hosts dive into a heated and playful conversation about platonic relationships, Behar gives her example of one. Behar says, “I feel like I have a platonic relationship with Brian, our executive producer.” Before Behar could continue narrating her platonic love for the producer, Haines chimed with a little, “Oh yeah, me too.” It took Behar less than a minute to snap and look at Haines, asking her to shut up as they all break into a fit of laughter. Behar continues her story, “And during the break before, I invited him to take a sniff of my (points at her neck) see if my perfume is holding up. Is that a platonic thing to do?”

The camera even pans to Teta, who smiles with a flustered look on his face, going along with Behar. This thoroughly entertains the audience, co-hosts, and anyone watching the segment.

'I’m dead from the waist down'

As Teta chimes in with a response, he awkwardly nods and says, “I’m dead from the waist down so it doesn’t really matter,” in response to Behar asking if him sniffing her neck was platonic or romantic. Behar laughs and says, “He’s dead from the waist down, is that what he said?” in confirmation, Teta nods with a simple “yeah.”

Goldberg saves the day as she tries to bring the segment to an end, joking about how Brian’s wife will be calling any minute. From there, Haines changes the topic, and Behar’s million-dollar question of whether that gesture was platonic or romantic remains unanswered.
